La final de la ronda clasificatoria nacional del torneo de derecho internacional Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition 2014 se celebró el 23 de enero en las oficinas de AmCham. En la ocasión, el equipo de la Universidad de Chile venció al de la Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.

El debate en inglés abordó el uso de agua entre los países ficticios de Amalea, representado por la Universidadde Chile, y Tirania, representado por la UniversidadAdolfo Ibáñez. El jurado estuvo compuesto por 36 abogados de firmas de abogados, universidades y empresas privadas. La competencia fue auspiciada por los estudios de abogados Carey, Grasty Quintana Majlis & Cía, y Bofill Mir & Álvarez Jana.

La Universidad de Chile participará en la White & Case International Round del torneo Jessup en Washington, DC, durante el mes de abril.

The final of the national qualifying round for the 2014 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition was held on January 23 at AmCham’s offices. The team from the University of Chile beat Adolfo Ibáñez University.

The English-language debate was over water use between the fictitious countries of Amalea, represented by the University of Chile, and Tirania, represented by Adolfo Ibáñez. The jury was comprised of 36 lawyers from law firms, universities and private companies. The competition was sponsored by the law firms Carey, Grasty Quintana Majlis & Cía, and Bofill Mir & Álvarez Jana.

The University of Chile will participate in the White & Case International Round of the Jessup Competition in Washington, DC, in April.
