[:es]En el marco de la elección presidencial norteamericana, AmCham Chile y la Embajada de Estados Unidos realizaron una celebración del proceso democrático y de la historia cívica de esta nación en los jardines de la representación diplomática en el país. Para ello, se realizó un evento que incluyó degustaciones, food trucks, música en vivo, juegos interactivos y la transmisión en directo del proceso eleccionario en diversas pantallas gigantes.
La Embajadora de Estados Unidos en Chile, Carol Perez, denominó esta actividad como una “fiesta de la democracia” y destacó la excelente relación económica y comercial entre ambos países.
Al encuentro asistieron parlamentarios y figuras del ámbito político chileno, entre ellos, el Subsecretario de Relaciones Exteriores, Edgardo Riveros.[:en]In light of the recent United States presidential election, AmCham Chile and the US Embassy have staged a celebration of the democratic process and civic tradition of the country in the gardens of the US diplomatic mission in Chile. The evening consisted of food tastings, food trucks, live music, interactive games and the live broadcast of the election on a number of giant screens.
US Ambassador to Chile, Carol Perez, called this event a “party of democracy” and stressed the excellent economic and trade relations between the two countries.
Attendees of the event included politicians and figures from the Chilean political sphere, for example the Deputy Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Edgardo Riveros.[:]
