Representantes de empresas socias de AmCham Chile participaron del viaje a Estados Unidos que realizó la Presidenta Michelle Bachelet a fines de 2014, oportunidad en la que encabezó una sesión del Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU. Durante su gira, la Mandataria visitó Filadelfia en Pennsylvania y el puerto de Wilmington en el estado de Delaware, lugar donde realizó un balance a 10 años de la firma del Tratado de Libre Comercio con Estados Unidos. Dicho terminal es esencial para los intereses comerciales de Chile, ya que a través de éste arriba el 70% de las exportaciones frutícolas nacionales a ese país. Las empresas socias de AmCham que participaron fueron MetLife, Sealand, Principal Financial Group y DuPont, quienes fueron acompañados por la presidenta de la Cámara, Kathleen Barclay.

At the end of 2014, representatives of member companies of AmCham Chile took part in a trip to the United States by President Michelle Bachelet, in which she led a session at the UN Security Council.

During her tour, the President visited Philadelphia in Pennsylvania and the port of Wilmington in Delaware, where she commemorated 10 years since the signing of the Free Trade Agreement with the United States. Wilmington is of particular commercial importance to Chile, since 70% of its fruit exports to the US arrive at this port.
