La empresa estadounidense de logística y entrega de encomiendas UPS anunció en septiembre el lanzamiento de la tercera edición de su “Premio UPS al Espíritu Emprendedor” en 14 países de América Latina y el Caribe, incluido Chile.

Los ganadores se anunciarán el 9 de noviembre y los premios incluyen hasta US$50.000 en efectivo, divididos entre las tres pequeñas y medianas empresas (Pymes) más innovadoras y exitosas de la región. Además, el primer lugar recibirá una beca para participar en el programa Gerencia con Liderazgo del INCAE Business School en Costa Rica.

"Las Pymes desempeñan un papel fundamental en el crecimiento y desarrollo de un mercado competitivo y eficiente en América Latina, por lo que UPS seguirá fomentando su crecimiento en la región”, dijo Augie Picado, vicepresidente de mercadeo para UPS Región de las Américas.

The US package delivery and logistics company UPS announced in September the launch of the third edition of its UPS Entrepreneurial Spirit Award in 14 countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, including Chile.

The winners will be announced on November 9 and prizes include up to US$50,000 in cash, divided between the three most innovative and successful small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region. In addition, first place will get a scholarship to participate in INCAE Business School’s Executive Management and Leadership Program in Costa Rica.

"SMEs play a vital role in the growth and development of a competitive and efficient market in Latin America, so UPS will continue to encourage their growth in the region," said Augie Picado, vice president of marketing for the Americas Region at UPS.
