Walmart nombró a Horacio Barbeito como nuevo gerente general en Chile. El ejecutivo ingresó a la empresa en 1995 durante la apertura de oficinas en Argentina y en 2002 asumió como director senior de reabastecimiento internacional en Estados Unidos. Posteriormente, fue líder de cadena de abastecimiento en Puerto Rico y en 2008 regresó a Walmart Argentina como director comercial y marketing. Cuatro años más tarde asumió como presidente y CEO de Walmart Argentina. Barbeito estudió comercio internacional en la UADE y ha realizado programas de desarrollo gerencial en la Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina y en Harvard Business School.
Walmart has appointed Horacio Barbeito as its new CEO in Chile. Horacio joined the company in 1995 with the opening of Walmart offices in Argentina. In 2002, he became Global Replenishment Director at Walmart International, in the United States. He then worked as Senior Director of Supply Chain in Puerto Rico and in 2008 he returned to Walmart Argentina as Chief Merchandising and Marketing Officer. Four years later, he became President and CEO of Walmart Argentina. Horacio studied International Commerce at the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa and has completed business development programs at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina and Harvard Business School.
