El 11 de septiembre, alrededor de 20 empresarios provenientes de los estados de Ohio, Minnesota, Illinois y Wisconsin de Estados Unidos visitaron AmCham para conocer posibles oportunidades de negocios en Chile.

Los oradores fueron Matthew Hilgendorf, agregado comercial de la Embajada de EEUU en Chile; Verónica Medina, subgerente general de TradeChile; y Anders Beal de AmCham, quienes les proporcionaron información sobre Chile y las condiciones económicas del país.

Medina comentó que la economía de Chile se ha abierto progresivamente al mundo, lo que se refleja en la gran cantidad de tratados de libre comercio con otros países. Destacó también que la cultura de negocios de Chile es parecida a la de Estados Unidos, por lo que Chile es hoy una buena alternativa en Latinoamérica para invertir.

On September 11, around 20 entrepreneurs from the states of Ohio, Minnesota, Illinois and Wisconsin visited AmCham to learn about business opportunities in Chile.

The speakers were Matthew Hilgendorf, Commercial Officer at the US Embassy in Chile, Verónica Medina, Chief Operating Officer at TradeChile, and Anders Beal of AmCham. They gave the visitors an overview of Chile and its economic situation.

Medina said the economy of Chile has been opened progressively to the world, which is reflected in the large number of free trade agreements with other countries. She also emphasized that Chile’s business culture is similar to the United States, which makes Chile a good alternative in Latin America to invest.
