Trade Mission to Chile from Los Angeles
September 27 – 30, 2009
The group will depart on Sunday, September 27, from LAX on American Airlines and attend the Americas Competitiveness Forum on the 28th and 29th. On the 30th and 1st mission members will enjoy prearranged meetings with private and public sector representatives before returning to Los Angeles at 8:30 p.m.
We have made special travel arrangements for California companies who would like to participate in the trade mission which include:
· Round-trip coach airfare on American Airlines
· Transfers in Santiago from airport to hotel and back to airport
· 3 nights lodging at Novotel or Plaza El Bosque Suites
· Small Business admission to the Americas Competitiveness Forum (ACF), taking place on September 28th and 29th
· Meeting with Chilean governmental officials
· Lunch with United Sates Secretary of Commerce, Gary Locke
· Lectures including a general overview of the Chilean Economy, Doing Business in Chile and three pre-arranged business meetings per company (translator, escorts and transportation to meetings not included)
· Special package price: US$3,000.00
Registration deadline is August 24th 2009
A deposit of 50% is due by Wednesday, September 9th, 2009.

Chile-California Business Council
We are forming a U.S.-based counterpart to our Plan Chile-California working group which will be called the Chile-California Business Council (CCBC). So far, we have the support of the California Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce and the San Francisco Global Trade Council, among others. Your company’s participation in the CCBC would be very beneficial.
