El Instituto Profesional Culinary convocó el 5 de diciembre a una mesa redonda en Santiago para analizar el futuro de la educación superior en la industria de servicios en Chile. Entre los invitados estuvieron el director nacional de Sernatur, Javier Vergara; el empresario vitivinícola Thierry Villard; la productora de eventos y productora general de Arbol Color, Sandra Neumann; y el chef corporativo de Culinary, Juan Pablo Mellado.

El objetivo fue informar a los jóvenes postulantes a la educación superior sobre cuál es el estado actual de las diferentes industrias de servicios en Chile y la futura empleabilidad asociada. Los invitados coincidieron en que Chile tiene una gran potencialidad en el área de servicios, pero que se necesita mano de obra capacitada para satisfacer las necesidades de este mercado de rápido crecimiento.

The Culinary Institute held a roundtable on December 5 in Santiago to discuss the future of higher education in Chile’s services industry. Guests included Sernatur National Director Javier Vergara, wine entrepreneur Thierry Villard, Arbol Color’s events producer, Sandra Neumann, and Culinary Corporate Chef Juan Pablo Mellado.

The objective was to inform applicants about the current state of different service industries in Chile and future graduate employability. The guests agreed that Chile has great potential in the services area, but it needs trained manpower to meet the needs of this fast-growing market.
