In March, Kathleen C. Barclay was elected by AmCham’s Board of Directors as the new President of the Chamber for the period 2013-2014. She replaces Javier Irarrázaval, who served as President from 2011 to 2012. She will be accompanied on the Executive Committee by Carolina Valdivieso (Vice President), Pablo Achurra (Secretary) and Sandra Guazzotti (Treasurer), as well as Javier Irarrázaval (Past President).


Barclay was previously AmCham President between 2001 and 2003. She is currently principal of the consulting firm Asesorías KCB Ltda., and serves on the boards of various Chilean companies.


"In 2013, AmCham will focus on four main areas: Trade; Networking
and Alliances; Communications and Best Practices, and Innovation, in which we invite all members to participate," said Barclay.
