En octubre, empleados de UPS Chile llevaron a cabo una iniciativa especial con motivo del Mes Mundial del Voluntariado, la que incluyó una reparación y mejora estética del espacio de recreo de una escuela de educación especial en Santiago.

La Escuela de Educación Especial “Andalué” en la comuna de Maipú brinda educación a 240 estudiantes de entre 4 y 25 años con diferentes discapacidades de aprendizaje, quienes reciben educación especial en un ambiente alegre y saludable. La comunidad también trabaja y socializa con los estudiantes.

Los empleados agradecieron la oportunidad de “ser voluntario por una causa que mejora la calidad de vida de muchos niños y jóvenes, en una misión para llevar a UPS más cerca de la comunidad”, indicó Víctor Henríquez, gerente de UPS Chile.

In October, UPS Chile employees took part in a special initiative during World Volunteer Month, which included improving the playground of a special needs school in Santiago.

The Special Needs School Andalue in Maipú has capacity for 240 students aged 4 to 25 years with different learning disabilities who receive education in a happy and healthy environment. Community members also work and socialize with the students.

The employees were grateful to have the chance to “volunteer for a cause that improves the quality of life for many children and young people as part of our mission to bring UPS closer to the community,” said Víctor Henríquez, Manager of UPS Chile.
