[:es]Profundizar en experiencias exitosas a nivel global y, en particular, las vinculadas al mercado de Estados Unidos, fue el objetivo central de la Conferencia Internacional de Innovación y Biotecnología: Conectándose con el Mundo. El encuentro, organizado por AmCham Chile e Imagen de Chile, se desarrolló en el marco de un programa apoyado por Corfo orientado a promover y fortalecer el ecosistema nacional de innovación y biotecnología.
El evento también fue parte de las acciones de Look North, estrategia de negocios impulsada por AmCham y que busca apoyar la llegada de capitales nacionales a Estados Unidos.
El encuentro contó con las exposiciones del miembro fundador de Whitehead Institute, Harvey Lodish, y el fundador y CEO de Cambridge Innovation Center, Timothy Rowe, quien se refirió a su experiencia en la promoción de instancias de colaboración entre la comunidad de innovación y el sector empresarial.
En la conferencia, auspiciada por MSD, se realizó un panel de conversación que permitió conocer la experiencia de chilenos que han sobresalido por iniciativas biotecnológicas a nivel internacional.
Timothy Rowe, Cambridge Innovation Center; Harvey Lodish, Whitehead Institute; y Roberto Matus, AmCham Chile.[:en]Sharing in-depth experiences on the global level and, in particular, building links with the US market, were the main objectives of the recent International Innovation and Biotechnology Conference: Connecting with the World. The event, organized by AmCham Chile and Imagen de Chile, was held as part of a program supported by Corfo aimed at promoting and strengthening the national innovation and biotechnology ecosystem.
The conference also formed part of the Look North scheme, a business strategy driven by AmCham Chile that focuses on boosting Chilean investment in the United States.
The meeting included statements from one of the founding members of Whitehead Institute, Harvey Lodish, and the founder and CEO of Cambridge Innovation Center, Timothy Rowe, who discussed his experience in promoting collaboration opportunities between the innovation community and the business sector.
The conference, sponsored by MSD, also included a discussion panel on notable Chilean start-ups that have achieved international success in the biotechnology field.
