[:es]Con nerviosismo, alegría y expectación, se vivió el torneo final de Desafío Solar, iniciativa financiada por el programa internacional Teacher Try Science de IBM, el cual busca fomentar la enseñanza de ciencia y tecnología en la sala de clases. El evento convocó a estudiantes de todo Chile, de 8vo básico a 4to medio, a construir un robot con desechos electrónicos e impulsado con la energía del sol. En el torneo final los equipos debieron trasladar un objeto de un punto a otro, dentro de una pista, simulando la remoción de desechos de un microbasural a un punto limpio. El equipo que obtuvo un mayor rendimiento, fue el del Colegio Alberto Blest Gana, que logró el primer lugar; el segundo puesto fue para el equipo Hunter del Colegio Nocedal y en tercera posición quedó el equipo Chapapa de Fundación Mustakis, provenientes de Concepción.

En una jornada marcada por la energía del sol, los 16 equipos finalistas de Desafío Solar, torneo de robots sustentables, pusieron a prueba sus prototipos.[:en]With a combination of nervousness, happiness and expectation, the final Solar Challenge tournament, an initiative financed by the international Teachers Try Science program of IBM, has successfully reached its conclusion. The principal aim of the event is to engender science and technology teaching in the classroom. Solar Challenge brought together students from across Chile aged between approximately 13 and 18 in which competitors were tasked with building a robot using second hand electronic equipment and operated using solar power. In the final tournament, teams had to move an object between two points, within a defined circuit, simulating the removal of waste from a mini garbage dump to a household waste recycling center. The team that produced the best performance and which secured first place was that from the Colegio Alberto Blest Gana from Santiago. Second place went to Chapapa from Fundación Mustakis, from Concepcion.
