[:es]Socios de AmCham participaron en la mesa redonda Chile y EE.UU.: Economía y Comercio en la Visión del Congreso Estadounidense junto a una delegación de staffers (asesores) del parlamento de dicho país, cuyo objetivo fue intercambiar ideas respecto del estado actual y proyección de la relación entre ambos países. La bienvenida al encuentro estuvo a cargo del director de AmCham Chile, Charles Kimber, quien destacó como uno de los principales intereses de la Cámara la promoción de instancias de colaboración entre el sector público y privado. También resaltó que AmCham recibe en forma periódica importantes visitas de autoridades estadounidenses, lo que da cuenta de la positiva relación de confianza entre ambos países.


Representantes de AmCham y los socios presentes en la actividad destacaron a los staffers la importancia de aprobar el Acuerdo para Evitar la Doble Tributación entre Chile y EE.UU.[:en]AmCham Chile members have taken part in the roundtable event ‘Chile and the US: Economy and Trade from the Perspective of the United States Congress’, in conjunction with a delegation of staffers from the US Congress itself. The objective of the event was to exchange ideas on the current and possible future state of relations between the two countries. The roundtable was introduced by Charles Kimber, a director at AmCham Chile, who highlighted the strong interest of the Chamber in promoting collaboration opportunities between the public and private sector. Kimber also stressed that AmCham Chile receives regular visits from distinct US authorities, thereby reflecting the high levels of trust between the two countries.


AmCham Chile representatives and members taking part in the event emphasized the importance of passing the proposed Avoidance of Double Taxation Treaty between Chile and the United States to the participating staffers.[:]
