[:es]Hoy miércoles 16 de agosto de 2017, el Vicepresidente de los Estados Unidos de América, Mike Pence, dará inicio a las celebraciones del aniversario Nº100 de la Cámara Chileno Norteamericana de Comercio, AmCham Chile. Una exclusiva cena tendrá lugar en el Hotel InterContinental Santiago, en la ocasión el Vicepresidente Mike Pence hará un discurso oficial, el cual transmitirá el mensaje del Presidente Donald J. Trump.
Durante esta cena, organizada por AmCham Chile junto con la Asociación de Cámaras Norteamericanas de Comercio de América Latina y el Caribe (AACCLA) -organización que celebra su 50 aniversario-, representantes del mundo empresarial chileno podrán escuchar del Vicepresidente Pence la visión de Estados Unidos sobre esta región de mundo.
El presidente de AmCham Chile, Guillermo Carey, destacó la relevancia de esta cena: “Para AmCham es un orgullo que durante la visita del Vicepresidente Mike Pence a Chile, él haya accedido a participar en esta cena que marca el inicio de las celebraciones de nuestro centenario. Estados Unidos es un gran socio comercial para Chile, y nos complace poder continuar fortaleciendo dicha relación, la que como Cámara hemos apoyado durante 100 años. También nos enorgullece destacar tanto a Estados Unidos, como a todos los chilenos, la confianza y lo positivo que esta visita del Vicepresidente Pence significa para las relaciones bilaterales”.
Importantes ejecutivos socios de AmCham y líderes empresariales, entre ellos, el presidente de la Sociedad de Fomento Fabril (SOFOFA), el representante del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) y ejecutivos de primera línea de empresas como Principal, AES Gener, Bci, Arauco, Crystal Lagoons y Metlife, asistirán a este evento. También participarán diversas autoridades, entre ellas, Ministros de Estado y la Embajadora de Estados Unidos en Chile, Carol Perez.
La cena iniciará las celebraciones de los 100 años de historia de AmCham, organización que se fundó el 23 de diciembre de 1918 en la ciudad de Valparaíso, y cuyo principal objetivo ha sido promover las relaciones comerciales entre Chile y Estados Unidos. A lo largo de los años, dicha misión se ha expandido a otros ámbitos como el libre comercio, las inversiones y la plena integración entre ambos países, creando valor para los socios de AmCham y para la sociedad en general.
La cena de AmCham Chile concluirá un intenso día de actividades del Vicepresidente Pence en Santiago, donde previamente se habrá reunido con representantes de Gobierno, entre ellos, la Presidenta Bachelet.

An exclusive dinner will be held at the Intercontinental Santiago with official remarks from Vice President Mike Pence, who will represent the sentiments of President Donald J. Trump.
During this dinner, organized by AmCham together with the Association of North American Chambers of Commerce of Latin America as well as the Caribbean (AACCLA) – who is concurrently celebrating its 50th anniversary -- representatives of the Chilean business world will be able to hear from Vice President Pence the United States’ vision for this region of the world.
The President of AmCham Chile Guillermo Carey highlighted the importance of this dinner:
"AmCham is proud that during Vice President Pence’s visit to Chile, the Vice President has agreed to participate in the dinner marking the beginning of our centennial celebration. The United States is a great trading partner for Chile, and we are pleased to be able to continue strengthening this relationship, which this Chamber has supported for 100 years. We are also proud to highlight to the United States, as well as to our fellow Chileans, the trust and positivity a visit by Vice President Pence means for bilateral relations.”
Top executives of some of AmCham's members and business leaders, such as SOFOFA’s president, IDB representative and Principal, Aes Gener, Bci, Arauco, Crystal Lagoons and Metlife main executives will be attending this event; as well as several authorities, including Chilean Ministers and the United States Ambassador to Chile, Carol Perez.
This dinner launches the celebrations for the 100-year history of AmCham Chile, a business organization that was founded on December 23rd, 1918 in the port of Valparaíso, with the aim of encouraging bilateral trade between the two countries. Over the years, this mission has been expanded to promote free trade, investment and full integration between Chile and the United States, creating an added value to AmCham´s members and society in general.
The AmCham Chile dinner marks a full day of events for Vice President Pence in Santiago, where earlier in the day the Vice President will have met with government officials, including President Bachelet.
