Casa & Ideas, la minorista chilena de decoración para el hogar propiedad de Mauricio Russo y Celfin, abrió recientemente su primera tienda en Estados Unidos en el mall The Shops en Sunset Place, en el sector South Miami de esa ciudad. La compañía ha destinado US$10 millones para abrir nuevos locales e invertir en publicidad en el mercado estadounidense.

"Nuestra ambición es abrir durante el próximo año seis u ocho tiendas más en el estado de Florida”, señaló el gerente general de Casa & Ideas, Gustavo Gómez, quien añadió que la empresa también planea expandirse en Texas, California y el resto del país. "Vamos a tener los mismos productos que en Chile, porque hemos trabajado desde hace tres años para tener diseños universales", añadió.

Gómez además está estudiando el mercado europeo. “Estamos estudiando la entrada en Europa", anunció Gómez. "Creo que vamos a franquiciar; ese es el futuro de la compañía", sostuvo. Además de en Chile y Estados Unidos, Casa & Ideas también tiene tiendas en Perú, Colombia y Bolivia.

Casa & Ideas, the Chilean home decoration retailer jointly owned by Mauricio Russo and Celfin, recently opened its first store in the U.S. at The Shops at Sunset Place in South Miami. The company has allocated US$10 million to open new stores and invest in advertising in the U.S. market.

“Our aim is to open six or eight more stores in the state of Florida in 2011,” said Casa & Ideas CEO Gustavo Gómez, adding the company also plans to expand in Texas, California and the rest of the country. “We will have the same products as in Chile because we have worked for three years to have universal designs,” he added.

Gómez is also studying the European market. “I think we will set up more franchises… that is the future of the company,” he said. Apart from Chile and the U.S., Casa & Ideas also has stores in Peru, Colombia and Bolivia.
