Carlos Fernández is General Manager of Computer Associates.

From 1981 to 1997, he held several executive positions in Chile and in the United States at IBM, including marketing and sales director, professional services manager and member of the board of directors of IBM Chile and other IBM affiliates.

Mr. Fernández is member of the board of several industrial associations. Among them AmCham; the association of Internet service providers (API), and the association of long distance carriers. He has also served as vice president of the board of the Chilean IT association (ACTI).

Carlos Fernández is civil engineer from the University Federico Santa María.

He is member of AmCham Chile's board, and chairs its Communications and Technology Committee.
