Dear Ms. Stirling:

As a company with operations in both Chile and California, I would like to ask the California Chamber of Commerce to consider the formation of a California Chilean Business Council.

As you may know, in 2008, the Chilean and California State governments signed the revised  “Plan Chile-California” agreement, which aims to improve and promote commerce and knowledge sharing between the two countries. In that vein, the Chilean American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Chile) has established a Plan Chile - California working group. We believe that a counterpart council in California is the most efficient and effective way to coordinate efforts between the two countries in furtherance of the Plan Chile - California. As a result, we would greatly appreciate the participation of the California Chamber in the creation of a California Chilean Business Council.

Please keep us informed as to the developments in this area.

Sincerely,
