Americas Competitiveness Forum
About 800 foreign leaders are now expected at the Americas Competitiveness Forum, said Walter Bastian, the commerce department's assistant secretary for the Western Hemisphere. That's up from the crowd of 500 leaders Bastian predicted would attend when he joined Mayor Shirley Franklin in March to formally announce that Atlanta would host the forum, from June 11-13.The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
