[:es]Los comités de Comercio e Innovación y Propiedad Intelectual de AmCham Chile realizaron la primera charla del ciclo Impacto del TPP a Nivel Sectorial, actividad que contó con la participación del jefe del Departamento de Propiedad Intelectual de la Dirección General de Relaciones Económicas Internacionales (DIRECON), Martín Correa, y el Jefe Negociador del TPP de dicho organismo, Felipe Lopeandía. En el encuentro se analizaron los principales aspectos del acuerdo en materia de propiedad intelectual, específicamente en aplicación de patentes, nombres de dominio, regulación del comercio electrónico y normas de transparencia, entre otros contenidos. La presidenta de AmCham Chile, Kathleen Barclay, destacó que el Acuerdo Transpacífico de Libre Comercio (TPP), es un hito para la historia del comercio internacional, además de ser el siguiente paso natural en el exitoso proceso de integración de Chile con el mundo. Lo anterior, al considerar que este acuerdo significa ser parte de un bloque comercial que representa el 40% del producto global y con un mercado potencial de 812 millones de personas.

En la actividad se valoró impacto del TPP en la protección del trabajo de creadores e innovadores[:en]The Trade Committee and the Innovation and Intellectual Property Committee of AmCham Chile have staged the first event in a round of talks on the cross-sector impact of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement. The discussion was attended by Martín Correa, head of the Intellectual Property Department at the General Directorate of International Economic Relations (DIRECON), and Felipe Lopeandía, chief TPP negotiator, also from DIRECON. The event covered the main aspects of the TPP in terms of intellectual property, specifically areas relating to patents, domain names, e-commerce regulation and transparency norms, among other areas. The president of AmCham Chile, Kathleen Barclay, said that the TPP is a milestone in the history of international trade. She also noted that the agreement represents the next step in the successful integration of Chile with the rest of the world; it involves becoming part of a trading bloc which constitutes 40% of global output and a potential market of 812 million people.
