On July 9 AmCham announced the start of the application process for the 10th annual Good Corporate Citizenship Awards during a meeting with this year’s panel of judges at the La Moneda Palace in Santiago.
This year, unlike previous years, there will be two main Good Corporate Citizen Awards; one for big companies and one for small and medium-sized companies. The awards in the secondary categories (environment, innovation, and associativity) will remain the same.
A workshop was held at AmCham in August to inform interested companies and answer any questions. The workshop was led by Maia Seeger, executive director of the environmental consulting firm, SustentaRSE, which advised AmCham in developing the rules for the contest.
"The program with the biggest budget doesn’t always win; we measure the impact on the community and its capacity to transform the social reality,” said Seeger.
The 2012 awards will be announced on October 17 at the Sheraton Hotel.
El 9 de julio, AmCham anunció el inicio del proceso de postulaciones a la décima versión anual del Premio AmCham al Buen Ciudadano Empresarial 2012 en el marco de una reunión con el jurado de este año realizada en el Palacio de La Moneda en Santiago.
A diferencia de en otras oportunidades, este año habrá dos premios principales al Buen Ciudadano Empresarial; uno para grandes empresas y otro para pequeñas y medianas empresas. Los reconocimientos en las categorías secundarias (medio ambiente, innovación y asociatividad) seguirán iguales.
En agosto se realizó un taller en AmCham para informar a las empresas interesadas y resolver dudas o inquietudes. El taller fue guiado por Maia Seeger, directora ejecutiva de SustentaRSE, que asesoró a AmCham en el desarrollo de las bases del concurso.
El programa con el mayor presupuesto no siempre gana, sino que se mide “el impacto en el tiempo y la capacidad de transformar la realidad social de una comunidad”, afirmó Seeger.
Los premios 2012 se anunciarán el 17 de octubre en el Hotel Sheraton.
