Ejecutivos pertenecientes a empresas de diversos sectores participaron en el panel “Gobiernos Corporativos para el Chile que cambió”, evento organizado por el Comité de Capital Humano de AmCham Chile y el Centro de Gobiernos Corporativos de la Universidad de Chile, con la colaboración de
KPMG, y cuya principal exposición estuvo a cargo del director del Centro de Derecho, Negocios y Economía de la
Universidad de Berkeley, y experto en temas de gobiernos corporativos, Eric Talley.

El académico se refirió al momento único que experimenta Chile en cuanto a la incorporación y profundización de nuevas regulaciones. Además, destacó que en Estados Unidos hay una mezcla de reglamentos –que pese a que son complejos de entender- permiten que el Estado y el gobierno federal refuercen la importancia de los gobiernos corporativos.

Company executives from diverse sectors have taken part in the panel “Corporate Governance for a changing Chile”. The event was organized by the Human Capital Committee of AmCham Chile and the Center for Corporate Governance of the University of Chile, in collaboration with KPMG. The main presentation of the event was given by Eric Talley, Director of the Center for Law, Business and the Economy at the University of Berkeley, and expert on corporate governance issues.

The academic discussed the unique events currently taking place in Chile in terms of the adoption and deepening of new regulations. In addition, he explained the combination of rules that exist in this area in the United States. Despite these being complex to understand, the regulations allow each state as well as the Federal government to reinforce the importance of corporate governance.
