La Ministra del Servicio Nacional de la Mujer (Sernam), Carolina Schmidt, y la presidenta de la Comisión Mujer, Trabajo y Maternidad, María Gracia Cariola, participaron el 24 de junio en una reunión del Comité Laboral y de Capital Humano de la AmCham. Ambas abordaron las propuestas del nuevo Gobierno en las áreas de empleo y maternidad, destacando que la participación de las mujeres chilenas en la fuerza laboral es de sólo el 41%, en comparación con el promedio del 65% de la OCDE y el 53% de América Latina.

The Minister of Chile’s National Women’s Service (Sernam), Carolina Schmidt, and the president of the Women’s Work and Maternity Commission, María Gracia Cariola, spoke at a meeting of AmCham’s Labor & Human Capital Committee on June 24. The women discussed the new government’s proposals in the areas of employment and maternity, noting that the participation of Chilean women in the workforce is only 41%, compared to an average of 65% in the OECD and 53% in Latin America.
