Presentation of Programs accepted until July 31st.
After a meeting of the jury members in the “Palacio de la Moneda”, on Monday June 16th, the application period for the sixth annual AmCham “Corporate Social Responsibility” award has begun.
This award recognizes certain CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) programs within Chilean businesses that have been integrated with the community in which they operate, for at least one year, who encompass a sense of self-sustainability, and whose results are measurable.
The jury this year will include AmCham President, Mateo Budinich; Presidential Socio-Cultural Director, María Eugenia Hirmas; United States Ambassador, Paul Simons; Production and Commerce Confederation President, Alfredo Ovalle; Home of Christ Chaplain, Father Agustín Moreira; Actino RSE President, Janet Srpönhle; AmCham RSE Committee President, Charles Kimber; and academics Álvaro Pezoa and Mladen Koljatic, of the University de Los Andes and Católica, respectively.
To apply, an online form must be filled out. The form is easy to access as well as understand and is accompanied with a guide from ProHumana in case assistance is needed with the application.
- Businesses can apply to different categories depending on their size.
- Deadline of program presentations: July 31st.
- Companies honored in previous years: Minera Escondida, Consorcio Nacional de Seguros, Banco Santander Santiago, Saesa, Clínica Las Condes, Microsoft, la División Chagres de Minera Anglo-American, Gerdau- Aza, D&S, ACHS, Fundación Pehuén de Endesa, Central de Restaurantes Aramark.
