El Servicio Comercial de la Embajada de Estados Unidos, junto con AmCham Chile y SOFOFA, realizaron el seminario “Invertir en Estados Unidos: un mundo de oportunidades”. El encuentro se enmarcó en el programa del gobierno estadounidense, SelectUSA, el cual busca fomentar la llegada de capitales extranjeros a esa nación, por lo que se dio a conocer las ventajas que ofrece este país para invertir y hacer negocios.

Las palabras de bienvenida estuvieron a cargo del presidente de la Sociedad de Fomento Fabril (SOFOFA),
Hermann von
Mühlenbrock; el Ministro Consejero de la Embajada de Estados Unidos, Dale B. Eppler, y la presidenta de AmCham, Kathleen Barclay.

En el seminario se abordaron los principales aspectos que se requiere conocer para invertir en Estados Unidos: clima de inversión en el país, experiencia de inversionistas chilenos, marco legal y tributario, tipos de visas para inversionistas, incentivos de distintos estados para inversiones extranjeras, entre otros.

The Commercial Service of the US Embassy, in collaboration with AmCham and SOFOFA, has staged the seminar “Investing in the United States: A world of opportunities”. The event formed part of the US government program SelectUSA, which seeks to secure foreign capital in the country. Accordingly, the seminar outlined various advantages for foreigners looking to invest and do business in the United States.

The opening remarks were made by the President of the Chilean Federation of Industry (SOFOFA),
Hermann von
Mühlenbrock; Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy, Dale B. Eppler; and AmCham President, Kathleen Barclay.

The seminar covered the central aspects relating to investing in the United States, including: the investment climate in the country, past experience of Chilean investors, the legal and tax frameworks, types of visas for investors, and incentives provided by certain US states for foreign investors, among others.
