El 19 de abril, la entidad sin fines de lucro Fundación Chile, la red de inversionistas ángeles ChileGlobal Angels y la firma de abogados Albagli Zaliasnik lanzaron el concurso Partner Up para emprendimientos tempranos en las áreas de alimentos, biotecnología y tecnologías de la información y comunicación.

El concurso está orientado a emprendimientos tempranos que contengan un importante componente de innovación, altas posibilidades de generar un impacto económico y potencial de escalabilidad en sus modelos de negocio. El objetivo es ayudarlas a que sean exitosas en su salida al mercado y fomentar el emprendimiento y la innovación en Chile.

El primer lugar recibirá un año de asesoría legal de Albagli Zaliasnik, equivalente a US$40.000 y el segundo lugar obtendrá una asesoría anual equivalente a US$20.000. Además, el Fondo de Exploración de Chile y ChileGlobal Angels darán a los participantes la posibilidad de presentar sus iniciativas antes sus comités de inversión para conseguir capital. Los proyectos ganadores se anunciarán el 20 de junio.

On April 19, the non-profit institute Fundación Chile, angel investors’ network ChileGlobal Angels and law firm Albagli Zaliasnik, launched the Partner Up contest for start-ups in the food, biotechnology and ICT areas.

The contest is for start-ups that have an important component of innovation, a strong possibility of generating an economic impact and the potential for scaling up their business models. The objective is to help them to be successful when they enter the market and to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in Chile.

First place will receive a year of free legal assistance from Albagli Zaliasnik, worth around US$40,000, and second place will receive assistance worth US$20,000. In addition, Fundación Chile’s Exploration Fund and ChileGlobal Angels will give participants the possibility to present their ideas before their investment committees to obtain venture capital. The winning projects will be announced on June 20.
