[:es]Una delegación de altos ejecutivos de empresas socias de AmCham Chile, además de la presidenta de la entidad, Kathleen Barclay, acompañó al Ministro de Hacienda, Rodrigo Valdés, en diversos encuentros dirigidos a exponer las perspectivas de la economía, la estrategia fiscal y las oportunidades de desarrollo de negocios en Chile. La agenda de esta actividad incluyó reuniones con inversionistas y analistas de Goldman Sachs y BlackRock, la visita a la Bolsa de Nueva York, la realización de una ponencia sobre el momento económico de nuestro país en la Escuela de Asuntos Públicos e Internacionales de la Universidad de Columbia, y reuniones con Susan Segal, presidenta y CEO del Council of the Americas. La presidenta de AmCham Chile, Kathleen Barclay, señaló que “Los encuentros realizados tuvieron una positiva evaluación de parte de autoridades e inversionistas de Estados Unidos, lo que demuestra el interés e importancia en torno a este tipo de misiones que buscan promover instancias de desarrollo comercial a nivel bilateral”. La delegación estuvo integrada por el gerente general de AES Gener, Felipe Cerón; el vicepresidente del BCI, Lionel Olavarría, y el CEO de Falabella, Sandro Solari, entre otros importantes ejecutivos.[:en]A delegation of senior executives from member companies of AmCham Chile, as well as the president of the chamber, Kathleen Barclay, have accompanied the Minister of Finance, Rodrigo Valdés, to the United States. The delegation conducted a number of different initiatives aimed at highlighting certain Chilean economic prospects, in addition to the national fiscal strategy, and business development opportunities in the country. The mission’s agenda included meetings with investors and analysts from Goldman Sachs and BlackRock, a visit to the New York Stock Exchange, a presentation on the current state of the Chilean economy in the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, and a meeting with Susan Segal, president and CEO of the Council of the Americas. In reference to the mission, Kathleen Barclay stated that, “the meetings we held were positively received by U.S. authorities and investors, which goes to show the interest and importance of these types of missions, which seek to promote opportunities for bilateral trade development”. The delegation was composed of the general manager of AES Gener, Felipe Cerón; the vice president of BCI, Lionel Olavarría; and the CEO of Falabella, Sandro Solari, among other notable business executives.[:]
