The Philip C. Jessup International
Law Moot Court Competition Chilean National Competition 2009
The Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition is an international law advocacy competition in which teams of law students present oral and written pleadings on timely issues of public international law. Jessup competitors present their legal arguments before a simulated International Court of Justice.
More than 500 schools from around the world compete every year. In its 47 year history, over 1000 schools from more than 120 nations and special administrative regions have participated in the competition. Every year, over 2000 students from six continents and twenty-two time zones participate in the competition. The Jessup has become the most prestigious international law moot court competition in the world and is the largest moot court competition of any kind.
