The transaction, worth US$535 million, was unanimously approved by the boards of both companies and is expected to be finalized by the last quarter of 2016. MAPCO is a chain of service stations and convenience stores that operates 348 sales points, primarily in the US states of Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia, but which also has presence in Arkansas, Virginia, Kentucky and Mississippi.
