[:es]El Consejo Empresarial de Energ\u00eda Chile-EE.UU. de AmCham Chile y Columbia Global Centers organizaron una mesa redonda con el profesor de Regulaci\u00f3n de Energ\u00eda y Derecho Ambiental de la Facultad de Derecho de la Universidad de Columbia, adem\u00e1s de Director del Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, Michael B. Gerrard. El acad\u00e9mico se refiri\u00f3 a los desaf\u00edos de COP21, acuerdo recientemente firmado en 2015 en Par\u00eds, y a los esfuerzos y recursos que se requieren para alcanzarlos en las \u00e1reas de energ\u00eda renovable y eficiencia energ\u00e9tica. Otros temas que se abordaron fueron los desaf\u00edos y la implementaci\u00f3n de pol\u00edticas medioambientales que deben implementar los pa\u00edses en v\u00edas de desarrollo.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gerrard destac\u00f3 las oportunidades en el desarrollo de energ\u00edas limpias para Chile, en particular la solar, e\u00f3lica e h\u00eddrica.[:en]The Chile-US Energy Business Council of AmCham Chile and Columbia Global Centers have organized a roundtable meeting with the expert on energy regulation and environmental law, Michael B. Gerrard, Professor of Professional Practice at Columbia Law School from Columbia University, as well as director of the Sabin Center for Climate Change Law. During the event, the scholar discussed the challenges arising from the COP21 agreement signed in Paris in December 2015, including the efforts and resources required to fulfil its objectives in areas of renewable energy and energy efficiency. Additional issues covered during the roundtable included the challenges facing developing nations in terms of implementing the environmental policies required.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
