En su reemplazo estamos muy contentos de informar que a partir del 1\u00ba de abril de 2012, asumir\u00e1 como Director Ejecutivo de AmCham el Sr. Rodrigo Ballivi\u00e1n Astorga.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 10px; float:left;\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.amchamchile.cl\/sites\/default\/files\/rodrigo-ballivian.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"221\" \/><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Quiero reconocer p\u00fablicamente el aporte que Jaime ha hecho a esta instituci\u00f3n, la que le est\u00e1 muy agradecida y le debe mucho. \u00a0 S\u00e9 que interpreto a todos los socios y al Directorio de AmCham al desearle mucho \u00e9xito en los nuevos desaf\u00edos que emprender\u00e1. En el mes de Marzo, Jaime har\u00e1 un traspaso ordenado de sus funciones a Rodrigo. Y estamos particularmente agradecidos de que Jaime, a partir del 1 de Abril, continuar\u00e1 ligado a la c\u00e1mara, como Asesor del Director Ejecutivo y del Directorio. Esto garantiza que el traspaso de su vasta experiencia al nuevo equipo ser\u00e1 del m\u00e1ximo beneficio para todos los socios.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Asimismo aprovecho la oportunidad para dar la bienvenida a Rodrigo, quien tendr\u00e1 como foco cumplir la Misi\u00f3n de la C\u00e1mara que es &#8220;Promover el libre comercio y los negocios entre Chile y \u00a0EEUU&#8221;. \u00a0 Esta es una tarea que permanentemente hay que renovar para continuar siendo competitivos y seguir creciendo. \u00a0No est\u00e1 dem\u00e1s repetir la importancia que el mercado estadounidense tiene para Chile.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Para cumplir este objetivo, Rodrigo cuenta con el profesionalismo y experiencia del equipo de AmCham, as\u00ed como con el compromiso de los integrantes del Directorio y Consejeros. Y no podemos dejar de mencionar el importante aporte de muchos de nuestros socios en los Comit\u00e9s de trabajo.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Rodrigo Ballivi\u00e1n Astorga es Ingeniero Comercial de la Universidad Adolfo Iba\u00f1ez, con estudios de postgrado en Negocios Internacionales en la Universidad de Grenoble (Francia).<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Durante sus 30 a\u00f1os de carrera profesional ha desempe\u00f1ado los m\u00e1s altos cargos gerenciales en empresas multinacionales. \u00a0Fue Presidente de la Corporaci\u00f3n Nacional de Exportadores y actualmente sigue desempe\u00f1\u00e1ndose como Consejero titular del Consejo Nacional de Producci\u00f3n Limpia. Antes de formar su propia empresa de Gesti\u00f3n y Desarrollo Estrat\u00e9gico, se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 cinco a\u00f1os como Director Ejecutivo para Latinoam\u00e9rica de Scientific Games Corp.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Invito a todos ustedes a darle la bienvenida a Rodrigo \u00a0a su cargo de Director Ejecutivo de AmCham. Tambi\u00e9n los invito a participar activamente de nuestras actividades, as\u00ed como a entregar sus opiniones y recomendaciones a Rodrigo, para continuar haciendo de AmCham una herramienta clave en el desarrollo de sus negocios.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Javier Irarr\u00e1zaval A.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Presidente<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Amcham Chile<\/div>\n<p><!--:--><!--:en--><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p>After nearly 15 years as General Manager of the Chilean-American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), Jaime Baz\u00e1n has announced his resignation in order to take on new professional duties.\u00a0 We are very pleased to inform you that as of April 1, 2012, Mr. Rodrigo Ballivian Astorga will assume the role of Executive Director of AmCham.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 4px; float:left;\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/sites\/default\/files\/foto-rodrigo-ballivian2_2.jpg\" width=\"200\" height=\"221\" \/>I would like to recognize publicly the support that Jaime has contributed to this institution, for which we thank him sincerely and owe him our greatest gratitude. I know that I can speak for all of the members and Directors of AmCham in wishing him much success in the future challenges he will take on. During the month of March, Jaime will conduct an orderly transfer of his responsibilities to his successor, Rodrigo. We are also extremely thankful to Jaime for his agreeing to maintain his ties with the chamber, as he will continue as Advisor to the Executive Director beginning on April 1. This will guarantee the transfer of his vast experience to the new team will be for the maximum benefit of our members.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, I would like to take the opportunity to welcome Rodrigo, who will focus on fulfilling the Mission of the Chamber, &#8220;To promote free trade and business between Chile and the U.S.&#8221;. This is a job that will require us to constantly adapt in order to continue being competitive and to continue growing. It doesn&#8217;t hurt to repeat the importance of the United States&#8217; market for Chile.<\/p>\n<p>To fulfil this objective, Rodrigo has the professional support and experience of the AmCham team, as well as the commitment of the Directors and members of the Advisory Council. We also cannot forget to mention the important participation of our members in the working Committees.<\/p>\n<p>Rodrigo Ballivian Astorga holds a Business degree from Adolfo Iba\u00f1ez University, and continued his postgraduate studies in International Business at the University of Grenoble (France).<\/p>\n<p>During his 30-year career he has held the highest management positions in multinational companies.\u00a0 He was President of the National Corporation of Exporters, and currently continues to work as a counsellor of the National Council of Clean Production.
