El objetivo del proyecto es motivar a los estudiantes a leer usando los e-readers -cada uno cargado con 50 ebooks- como parte de su programa de lenguaje normal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cPara lograr 50 bibliotecas digitales (\u2026), hubo que innovar fuertemente: integrar tecnolog\u00edas, probar una plataforma nueva en Chile, conseguir derechos de autor que no exist\u00edan, generar versiones digitales de libros que tampoco exist\u00edan en ese formato, aplicar protecci\u00f3n digital de estos derechos de autor (DRM), adem\u00e1s de capacitar a profesores de lenguaje y bibliotecarios de escuelas en un uso de consumo online de libros que en Chile s\u00f3lo dominan muy pocas personas a\u00fan\u201d, indic\u00f3 el presidente ejecutivo de VTR, Mauricio Ramos.<\/p>\n<p><!--:--><!--:en--><P style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">Some 18,000 students from 30 schools in the earthquake-hit Chilean cities of Talcahuano and Concepci\u00f3n will have the chance to read books on new e-readers thanks to a project called Digital Libraries (Bibliotecas Digitales), sponsored by VTR with the support of Unicef, Ediciones SM, Bazuca.com and Chile\u2019s Education Ministry.<\/P><br \/>\n<P style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">Students, teachers, parents and principals attended a launch ceremony in Talcahuano in March.
