FIDAE 2006 had the highest rates of attendance of exhibiting companies (379) and participating countries (45), which demonstrates the consolidation reached by the International Air & Space Fair in its 25 years of existence.<\/div>\n
\n

This exhibition was inaugurated by President Michelle Bachelet, along with Defence Minister Vivianne Blanlot, who cut the ribbon to initiate the fourteenth version of our air show, with the attendance of high authorities such as Ministers of Defence, Commanders-in-Chief of Air Forces, Logistic Commanders and more than 650 accredited journalists from the whole world who came to Pudahuel, Santiago de Chile to cover the most important aeronautic event performed in Latin America.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

121 civil and military aircrafts were displayed at FIDAE 2006. Not only the Chilean F-16\u2019s debut provoked great expectation to the 134,000 people that visited our Fair, but also the presentation of Tornado GR4 and its woman pilot, Hellen Hillard, who caught out the press attention. There were also displays of B1 Lancer; Airbus 318; Gulfstream 550 and 100; Learjet 45 and 60 of Bombardier; Falcon Jet 2000 EX of Dassault; Citation Sovereing and Grand Caravan of Cessna; Beach Premier I and King Air of Raytheon; among others, which with Acrobatics Teams \u201cHalcones\u201d of the Chilean Air Force and Brazilian \u201cDA Fuma\u00e7a\u201d, made that FIDAE was once again a party for aviation lovers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
