Through its on-going programs, AmCham provides an opportunity for its members to meet, exchange ideas and experiences, and make contacts that can lead to new and mutually beneficial relationships.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among the programs that bring people together are AmCham\u2019s monthly breakfasts, seminars, roundtables and workshops with prominent private and public sector guest speakers. AmCham\u2019s committees play an active role in the coordination of seminars, workshops and roundtables. Prominent experts in specific fields are invited to speak at these events, ensuring that cutting-edge information on current issues is introduced (see detailed information on committees).\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n
We also host social events, such as golf tournaments, that bring together our business community.<\/div>\n

Trade missions To and From the U.S.<\/span>
\nTrade missions are an effective way for companies to explore opportunities in the U.S. market, promote Chile and attract potential investment. Accompanied by Chilean and U.S. government officials, Chamber members visit cities and attend seminars held to discuss the state\u2019s legal framework and investment opportunities, as well as to show successful investment experiences in Chile. Upon the conclusion of the seminar, individual business meetings are arranged for interested participants. AmCham member companies that have offices in the area often sponsor interesting social events with key contacts.<\/p>\n

Seminars<\/span>
\nPeriodically each year, AmCham organizes seminars about topics in business relevant to our members.\u00a0We utilize our extensive connections to hold seminars in conjunction with various enterprises and to bring top-notch speakers to these events.\u00a0Sofofa, ProChile, El Mercurio, Diario Financiero, Council of The Americas, and CORFO are a few of the firms with which AmCham has organized cooperative seminars. These events usually take place in Santiago, Chile, but are often also held in a variety of other Chilean cities.\u00a0Since the U.S.-Chile Free Trade Agreement (FTA) went into force in January, 2004, AmCham has sought to spread awareness of the commercial opportunities brought by this agreement by holding seminars throughout Chile.<\/p>\n

Events Coordination<\/span>
\nEach year, AmCham also organizes social events so that our members can keep abreast of the latest business developments and advance their networking relationships.\u00a0AmCham regularly holds monthly breakfasts, economic seminars, cocktails, sports tournaments, and motorcycle trips, among other events, to maintain close contact and coordination with our members as well as between our member companies themselves. <\/span><\/span><\/span>

\nMonthly Breakfasts<\/span>
\nWe offer public and private monthly breakfasts with groups of members and friends from Chile and the U.S.\u00a0The breakfasts are highlighted by well-known speakers who address current issues of Chile-U.S. trade and investment as well as topics of international commerce.\u00a0This is an outstanding opportunity to discuss business and to network with high-level business and government officials from both countries.<\/span><\/div>\n
