Economista de la Universidad de Chile y obtuvo un Master en Econom\u00eda en la Universidad de Chicago, Estados Unidos.<\/p>\n<p>Comenz\u00f3 su carrera en la Oficina de Planificaci\u00f3n Nacional. Posteriormente fue asesor econ\u00f3mico del Ministerio de Hacienda hasta ser nombrado Jefe del Departamento de Estudios de la ODEPLAN.<\/p>\n<p>En a\u00f1o 1986 ingres\u00f3 al rubro de las telecomunicaciones y, desde entonces, ha asumido diversos cargos como director, presidente y gerente general. Estuvo en el directorio de Chilefilms y de ENTEL, donde posteriormente asumi\u00f3 funciones ejecutivas. Posteriormente ocup\u00f3 la gerencia general de Invesco Internacional. Y el a\u00f1o 1999 fue designado Presidente de Smartcom PCS.<\/p>\n<p><span>A partir del a\u00f1o 2002 Alejandro ingres\u00f3 a Chilesat Corp. S.A. para asumir la gerencia general. En mayo de 2004 Telmex compr\u00f3 el control de Chilesat y Alejandro asumi\u00f3 como Presidente del Directorio de Telmex en Chile.<\/span><!--:--><!--:en--><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"198\" alt=\"\" hspace=\"5\" width=\"168\" align=\"right\" vspace=\"5\" src=\"\/images\/AlejandroRojas.jpg\" \/>Alejandro Rojas Pinaud, Presidente del directorio de Telmex en chile.
