No importa si son peque\u00f1as, medianas o grandes, el fin es lograr relaciones de largo plazo y sustentables.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bajo esta premisa, el 7 noviembre se llev\u00f3 a cabo la decimosegunda versi\u00f3n del Premio Buen Ciudadano Empresarial, que reconoce los mejores programas de responsabilidad social que benefician directamente a la comunidad, que adem\u00e1s del Gran Premio otorga menciones en medioambiente, innovaci\u00f3n y asociatividad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hasta el edificio de Transoce\u00e1nica llegaron diversas autoridades, entre ellas, la Ministra de Desarrollo Social, Mar\u00eda Fernanda Villegas; la Subsecretaria de Econom\u00eda, Katia Trusich; el ministro consejero de la Embajada de Estados Unidos, Dale Eppler, y la presidenta de AmCham, Kathleen Barclay. La Ministra de Desarrollo Social coment\u00f3 que desde el Gobierno proyectan promover este tipo de acciones y se comprometi\u00f3 a facilitar el camino para que estas acciones puedan efectivamente desarrollarse, impulsarse y conocerse. \u201cTodas las iniciativas empresariales grandes o peque\u00f1as que se han introducido en este mundo y han tenido la opci\u00f3n de incluir esta filosof\u00eda al interior de sus empresas, vayan nuestros reconocimientos m\u00e1s sinceros\u201d, expres\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Por su parte, Kathleen Barclay destac\u00f3 los proyectos ganadores de este a\u00f1o, y la evoluci\u00f3n que han tenido. \u201cEstamos muy satisfechos con el alto nivel de los programas que\u00a0 participaron este a\u00f1o en nuestro premio, los cuales adem\u00e1s muestran mayor involucramiento con el entorno y un mayor impacto positivo en la comunidad, las empresas, sus trabajadores y todos aquellos actores involucrados en el proceso productivo\u201d, coment\u00f3.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En esta versi\u00f3n del Premio Buen Ciudadano Empresarial postularon 28 programas, los cuales fueron evaluados de acuerdo a los siguientes principios: vinculaci\u00f3n con la estrategia de la empresa, sustentabilidad, inversi\u00f3n social, creaci\u00f3n de capital social, gesti\u00f3n e innovaci\u00f3n, asociatividad e inclusi\u00f3n y di\u00e1logo social. La evaluaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica de los programas fue realizada por SustentaRSE, entidad experta en el \u00e1mbito de la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial, la cual fue posteriormente analizada por el jurado.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La instancia, adem\u00e1s, se complement\u00f3 con un seminario que cont\u00f3 con la presencia del miembro del Consejo Asesor de la Escuela de Negocios de Harvard para Am\u00e9rica Latina, Gustavo Herreros, como orador principal. \u00a0En la oportunidad se analizaron los desaf\u00edos empresariales en el relacionamiento con las comunidades, as\u00ed como las experiencias en la materia. Como panelistas participaron Carolina Lucaroni, gerente de Asuntos Corporativos de BHP Billiton Cobre, B\u00e1rbara Saavedra, directora para Chile de Wildlife Conservation Society, y Charles Kimber, gerente de Asuntos Corporativos de Arauco.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El Premio Buen Ciudadano Empresarial 2014 cont\u00f3 con el apoyo de Mutual de Seguridad, Walmart Chile, MetLife, Deloitte, American Airlines, Pulso y CNN Chile.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>PROGRAMAS PREMIADOS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Grandes Empresas\u00a0<span>\u201cAcercaRedes\u201d de Arauco<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Por medio de este premio, \u00a0AmCham busca reconocer a los programas de responsabilidad social de las empresas que benefician a la comunidad, que a su vez sean referentes que motiven a otras compa\u00f1\u00edas a adoptar las mejores pr\u00e1cticas en esta materia y que integren las dimensiones de\u00a0 medioambiente, asociatividad e innovaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En 2012, Arauco impuls\u00f3 la iniciativa AcercaRedes, un desaf\u00edo de innovaci\u00f3n social que nace bajo el alero del programa InnovArauco, cuyo objetivo es facilitar espacios donde promover el encuentro entre emprendedores, empresas y organizaci\u00f3n para fomentar el desarrollo de comunidades locales. De esta forma, se busca tambi\u00e9n revertir la tendencia de lugares donde el talento se fuga en forma r\u00e1pida y en los cuales los l\u00edderes est\u00e1n alejados de las principales tendencias mundiales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AcercaRedes es una red de centros oHublocalizados en territorios alejados de los principales centros urbanos, especialmente habilitados para la conectividad, el trabajo y el encuentro de l\u00edderes, creativos y emprendedores de Chile. Son espacios f\u00edsicos compartidos donde sus diversos usuarios, a partir de distintas profesiones, oficios y habilidades, generan puntos de conexi\u00f3n entre s\u00ed, ya sea por motivaciones compartidas en lo profesional, social, t\u00e9cnico o laboral. Se trata de personas analfabetas o semi-alfabetas, en su mayor\u00eda abuelas, con edades entre los 35 y los 50 a\u00f1os, reciben formaci\u00f3n en la sede de la ONG en India, donde obtienen el t\u00edtulo de \u201cingenieras en paneles solares de Barefoot\u201d, el cual certifica la capacidad para instalar y realizar la mantenci\u00f3n de paneles solares.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/sites\/default\/files\/Premio6_0.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" \/><br \/>\n<em>El subdirector del diario Pulso, Jon\u00e1s Preller, hace entrega del Premio Buen Ciudadano Empresarial de AmCham Menci\u00f3n Medioambiente a representantes de Enel Green Power.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Menci\u00f3n Innovaci\u00f3n &#8220;Miel para el desayuno de los mineros de Minera Los Pelambres&#8221; de Sodexo<\/strong><span>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La iniciativa \u201cMiel para el desayuno de los mineros de minera Los Pelambres\u201d, nace de una alianza entre Sodexo, Fundaci\u00f3n Minera Los Pelambres, el Ministerio de Agricultura, Corfo y la comunidad del Valle de Choapa, que tiene como fin desarrollar un modelo de negocio inclusivo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El proyecto consiste en incorporar en el desayuno de los trabajadores un envase de 20 gramos de miel, mejorando la calidad nutricional de la alimentaci\u00f3n que se les entrega. La primera, es una residencia de ni\u00f1os ubicada en San Felipe y la segunda, un hogar de ni\u00f1as emplazado en la localidad de Puc\u00f3n. Ambos recintos\u00a0 acogen a ni\u00f1os y j\u00f3venes en vulnerabilidad social, derivados por tribunales.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El objetivo de la iniciativa se centra en apoyar permanentemente las necesidades de la fundaci\u00f3n, tanto a nivel de los ni\u00f1os como de las educadoras. De este modo, Mas Err\u00e1zuriz colabora en el \u00e1mbito de la formaci\u00f3n y de la capacitaci\u00f3n. Whether businesses are small, medium or large in size is not important; the aim is to secure long term, sustainable relations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With this in mind, the twelfth version of the Good Corporate Citizenship Awards was held on November 7. These awards acknowledge the best social responsibility programs in terms of direct benefits provided to affected communities. As well as the main award for Good Business, special mentions were presented for company work in the areas of the environment, innovation and community development.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The award ceremony took place in the Transoce\u00e1nica building and was attended by a several dignitaries, including the Minister of Social Development, Mar\u00eda Fernanda Villegas; the Undersecretary of Economy, Katia Trusich; the Deputy Chief of Mission at the US Embassy, Dale Eppler; and AmCham Chile President, Kathleen Barclay. The Minister of Social Development spoke during the event, saying that the Government is planning to promote this type of behavior and is committed to paving the way for such actions to be further developed, encouraged and understood. She declared that, \u201cOur sincerest acknowledgements go out to all business initiatives, big or small, that have been introduced in the world and which have incorporated this philosophy within their companies\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kathleen Barclay discussed the 2014 prize-winning projects, including their respective processes of evolution. She said, \u201cWe are really pleased with the high level of this year\u2019s participating programs, which have also shown greater involvement with their environments and a bigger and more positive impact in the community, the companies, its workers and all actors involved in the production process\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 2014 version of the Good Corporate Citizenship Award attracted 28 applicant projects. All were evaluated according to the following criteria: their link with the overall business strategy; sustainability; social investment; social capital creation; management and innovation; community development and inclusion; and social dialogue. Technical evaluation of the programs was conducted by SustentaRSE, an organization specializing in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility. This evaluation was subsequently analyzed by a panel of judges.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The award ceremony was also complemented by a seminar, which included as its main speaker Gustavo Herrero, member of the Latin America Research Council of the Harvard Business School. This event addressed the business challenges in regard to community relations, as well as relevant case studies. At the same time, these programs should act as benchmarks for motivating other companies to adopt best practices in this area, as well as for them to integrate dimensions in relation to the environment, community development and innovation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2012, Arauco launched the initiative AcercaRedes, a social innovation challenge arising from the InnovArauco program. The aim of AcercaRedes is to facilitate spaces for promoting meetings between entrepreneurs, businesses and organizations in order to strengthen local community development. As such, the initiative also seeks to reverse the tendency of talent rapidly disappearing from certain places, and locations where leaders are far removed from the major global trends.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">AcercaRedes is a network of centers, or a hub, located in areas far from the main urban centers. The centers are specially equipped to ensure connectivity and ease of work, and to act as a meeting point for leaders, creators and entrepreneurs in Chile. These centers are shared physical spaces in which diverse users, from different professions, trades and skills, generate points of connection between themselves. Such encounters might be motivated by professional, social, technical or work reasons. These encounters mean that the hub becomes a space conducive for working in networks. The work of the NGO focuses on illiterate or semi-illiterate women aged between 35 and 50 years, most of whom are grandmothers. They receive training at the offices of the NGO in India, obtaining a certification in \u201csolar panel engineering from Barefoot\u201d, which certifies their ability to install and carry out maintenance work on solar panels.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/sites\/default\/files\/Premio6_0.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\"><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Deputy Director of the newspaper Pulso, Jon\u00e1s Preller, presents the AmCham Chile Good Corporate Citizenship Award, Special Mention for the Environment to representatives of Enel Green Power.<span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Special Mention for Innovation\u00a0<span>\u201cHoney for breakfast for the Los Pelambres miners\u201d from Sodexo<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>The initiative \u201cHoney for breakfast for the Los Pelambres miners\u201d was created out of the partnership between Sodexo, the Los Pelambres Mine Foundation, the Ministry of Agriculture, CORFO and the community of Choapa Valley, with the aim of devising an inclusive business model.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The project consists of including, as part of breakfast for workers, a 20 gram pot of honey. This help to improve the nutritional quality of the food served to employees. The honey itself is purchased on a monthly basis from the Caimanes Beekeeping Committee, which in turn helps to complete the circle of inclusivity. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/sites\/default\/files\/Premio5.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\"><br \/> Sodexo, winner of the AmCham Chile Good Corporate Citizenship Award, Special Mention for Innovation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Special Mention for Community Development\u00a0<span>\u201cLabor Inclusion Program for Disabled Persons\u201d from Aramark<\/span><span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>This award acknowledges noteworthy programs for their engagement with the community and community representatives. Successful projects will also promote strategic alliances and collaborative relationships with other public sector bodies and civil society organizations. The goal of such projects should be to leverage resources and complementary skills that increase the impact and sustainability of the initiatives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The \u201cLabor Inclusion Program for Disabled Persons\u201d was created by the food services company Aramark Chile in 2006, in collaboration with 16 institutions, including Fundaci\u00f3n Tacal and Escuela Diferencial, among others. The former is a residential home for boys in San Felipe and the latter a residential home for girls in Puc\u00f3n.
