En tanto, durante el primer semestre de 2014, la operaci\u00f3n ya ha visto aumentada su producci\u00f3n comparada con igual per\u00edodo de 2013, alcanzando 221.600 toneladas de cobre fino, un 11% m\u00e1s que el a\u00f1o anterior.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">El CEO Cobre de Anglo American, Hennie Faul, se\u00f1al\u00f3 que \u201ccuando en Anglo American conceptualizamos el Proyecto Desarrollo Los Bronces, lo hicimos con el fin de convertir a esta operaci\u00f3n en la quinta mina de cobre m\u00e1s grande del mundo. Por ahora los resultados nos tienen muy contentos y optimistas con el futuro de la operaci\u00f3n\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><!--:--><!--:en--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span><\/p>\n<p>With President Michelle Bachelet in attendance, Anglo American has received the \u201c2014 National Mining\u201d award in the Large Producer category, as a result of its successful consolidation of the Los Bronces Development Project.<\/span><span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Los Bronces operation began in 2012 with the implementation of the first stage of the expansion project. Production at design capacity was reached in 2013, which marked an important step towards hitting the total annual output target of 416,300 tons of fine copper.&nbsp; Overall production rose by 11% during the first half of 2014 compared to the same period last year, with total output measuring 221,600 tons of fine copper.<span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The CEO of Copper at Anglo American, Hennie Faul, said \u201cwhen we conceptualized the Los Bronces Development Project at Anglo American, our goal was for the operation to become the fifth biggest copper mine in the world.
