El Comit\u00e9 de Innovaci\u00f3n y Propiedad Intelectual se reuni\u00f3 el 10 de junio, oportunidad en la que se invit\u00f3 a Mar\u00eda Isabel Salinas, Subdirectora de Corfo, quien se refiri\u00f3 a los beneficios y oportunidades de la Ley 20.241 de Innovaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo (I+D). Tambi\u00e9n participaron en la instancia y expusieron su experiencia Carlos Murillo, gerente general de Pfizer \u2013empresa que pronto abrir\u00e1 su centro de investigaci\u00f3n en Chile-,  Hern\u00e1n Conejeros, lab & technical manager de 3M, y Mauricio Palma, gerente general de Orand, empresa pyme que ha utilizado los beneficios de la ley. La reuni\u00f3n fue moderada por Carlos Honorato, co-presidente del Comit\u00e9 de Innovaci\u00f3n de AmCham.<\/p>\n

Mar\u00eda Isabel explic\u00f3 que bajo la reciente Ley de I+D, que se introdujo en 2012, las empresas chilenas pueden utilizar un incentivo tributario para la inversi\u00f3n en I+D que rebajar\u00e1, v\u00eda impuestos de primera categor\u00eda, el 35% de los recursos que destinen a actividades de investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo, lo que contribuir\u00e1 a mejorar la capacidad competitiva de las empresas chilenas.<\/p>\n

Posteriormente, Hern\u00e1n Conejeros y Mauricio Palma hablaron sobre su experiencia bajo esta ley y los asistentes pudieron dialogar con los expositores sobre la materia.<\/p>\n

The latest meeting of the Intellectual Property and Innovation Committee took place on June 10. The event was attended by the Deputy Director of Corfo, Mar\u00eda Isabel Salinas, who had been invited to take part. During the meeting, the Deputy Director addressed the benefits and opportunities afforded by Law No. 20.241 on Investigation and Development (I&D). Additional participants who presented their own experiences included Carlos Murillo, General Manager of Pfizer \u2013 which will soon be opening its research center in Chile \u2013 Hern\u00e1n Conejeros, Lab & Technical Manager at 3M, and Mauricio Palma, General Manager at Orand, an SME to have benefited from the legislation. The meeting was moderated by Carlos Honorato, Co-Chair of the Committee.  <\/p>\n

Mar\u00eda Isabel explained that under the R&D Act, which was introduced in 2012, Chilean companies may use a tax incentive for investments in research and development, which will reduce, through First Category Taxation, 35% of resources allocated for research and development activities. This will contribute to improving the competiveness of Chilean companies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Subsequently, Conejeros and Palma spoke about their experiences of working under this legislation, enabling participants to converse with the speakers and gain insight into the issue. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
