En esta oportunidad, la oradora invitada fue Marina Pol Longo,&nbsp;senior consultant de FSG, quien realiz\u00f3 una presentaci\u00f3n sobre \u201cCreaci\u00f3n de valor compartido e involucramiento de la comunidad, experiencias en Chile y el mundo\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Durante la bienvenida, Kimber y Garc\u00eda presentaron el programa &nbsp;de trabajo 2014, recordando que la misi\u00f3n del Comit\u00e9 de Sustentabilidad es fomentar&nbsp;las relaciones de colaboraci\u00f3n&nbsp;de las&nbsp;empresas&nbsp;con las&nbsp;comunidades&nbsp;locales en los territorios en que desarrollan sus actividades de negocio.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Durante su presentaci\u00f3n Marina explic\u00f3 el concepto de valor compartido y, luego se refiri\u00f3 a la conjunci\u00f3n entre los objetivos econ\u00f3micos y sociales de una empresa, como parte de las estrategias de negocios de \u00e9sta, se\u00f1alando que debe buscar aumentar su competitividad al mismo tiempo que se preocupa de las necesidades sociales de la comunidad. De esta forma una empresa es sostenible en el tiempo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><!--:--><!--:en--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On May 19, the Sustainability Committee launched its latest annual program. The event was presided over by Charles Kimber and Ricardo Garcia, directors of the board at AmCham. Invited as guest speaker was Marina Pol Longo, senior consultant at FSG, who gave a presentation on \u201cCreating shared value and community involvement: experiences from Chile and around the world\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>While opening the event, Kimber and Garcia presented the Committee\u2019s work program for 2014. They took the opportunity to remind attendees of the mission of the Sustainability Committee: to foster collaborative relationships between businesses and the local communities in which they operate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>During her presentation, Marina explained the concept of shared value and addressed the coming together of economic and social goals of a business, pointing out how these now form part of general business strategy. She highlighted how businesses should seek to increase their competitiveness while also responding to the social needs of the communities.
