Rafael Lorenzini, secretario ejecutivo del Consejo, presidi\u00f3 la reuni\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Los oradores invitados fueron: Cristi\u00e1n Franz, experto en el Convenio 169 de la Organizaci\u00f3n Internacional del Trabajo y socio-fundador de Grupo Alianza, y Renato Leyton, experto en comunicaci\u00f3n estrat\u00e9gica y sustentabilidad. El Convenio 169 de la OIT se concentra en los derechos de los pueblos ind\u00edgenas<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Posteriormente se realiz\u00f3 un debate sobre la relaci\u00f3n entre el sector privado y las comunidades ind\u00edgenas en Chile. El di\u00e1logo entre los participantes permiti\u00f3 identificar aspectos cr\u00edticos para mejorar la comunicaci\u00f3n entre los distintos actores y garantizar un proceso m\u00e1s viable a fin de evitar el costo que tiene la oposici\u00f3n de las comunidades a proyectos tanto en el presente como en el futuro.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><!--:--><!--:en--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On June 14, the Chile-US Energy Council hosted a seminar at AmCham on \u201cCommunities, Communication and Development\u201d. Rafael Lorenzini, the Council\u2019s Executive Secretary, chaired the meeting.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>The guest speakers were: Cristi\u00e1n Franz, an expert on the International Labor Organization\u2019s Convention 169 which focuses on the rights of indigenous peoples, and founding partner of Grupo Alianza, and Renato Leyton, an expert in strategic communication and sustainability.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>A debate followed on the relationship between the private sector and indigenous communities in Chile.
