El 11 de septiembre, los miembros del Consejo Empresarial Chile – EEUU sobre Energ\u00eda se reunieron en AmCham para discutir su agenda de mediano y largo plazo. Los grupos de trabajo, coordinados por el secretario ejecutivo, Rafael Lorenzini, est\u00e1n enfocados en las siguientes \u00e1reas claves: financiamiento, capital humano, marco regulatorio, infraestructura y tecnolog\u00eda, eficiencia energ\u00e9tica y energ\u00edas renovables no convencionales.<\/p>\n
Los miembros tambi\u00e9n revisaron la participaci\u00f3n del Consejo en el desarrollo de la estrategia nacional de energ\u00eda de Chile. El Consejo, creado en octubre del a\u00f1o pasado por AmCham, apunta a promover oportunidades de negocios en energ\u00edas limpias y eficiencia energ\u00e9tica junto con dar respaldo al desarrollo sustentable del sector.<\/p>\n
Junto con la asistencia del presidente de AmCham, Javier Irarr\u00e1zaval, y su director ejecutivo, Rodrigo Ballivi\u00e1n, la reuni\u00f3n cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de Rafael Lorenzini, secretario ejecutivo de los Consejos Empresariales de AmCham; Felipe Cer\u00f3n, gerente general de AES Gener y tesorero de AmCham; Roberto Troncoso, gerente de administraci\u00f3n y finanzas del Centro de Energ\u00edas Renovables de Chile (CER); y Gibran Harcha, gerente general de Grupo GPS, firma que controla Inversiones Alsacia, concesionaria de buses del sistema de transporte p\u00fablico Transantiago.<\/p>\n

On September 11, the US-Chile Business Council on Energy met at AmCham to discuss its short and medium-term agenda. The Council\u2019s working groups, coordinated by Executive Secretary Rafael Lorenzini, are focused in the following main areas: finance, human capital, regulatory framework, infrastructure and technology, energy efficiency and non-conventional renewable energies.<\/p>\n
The Council has been strengthened by the incorporation of representatives from the public sector, including from the Ministry of Energy and the Ministry of the Environment, as well as executives from companies involved in energy supply and demand. On the demand side, this includes Alsacia, a bus concessionaire of the Transantiago transport system, and the Chilean Association of Fuel Distributors (ADICO).<\/p>\n
The meeting was attended by AmCham\u2019s president, Javier Irarr\u00e1zaval; managing director for the Walt Disney Company for the andean region and AmCham’s President, Rodrigo Ballivi\u00e1n, AmCham’s executive director; Felipe Cer\u00f3n, CEO of AES Gener and AmCham\u2019s treasurer; Roberto Troncoso, manager of administration and finance at Chile\u2019s Renewable Energies Center (CER); Gibran Harcha, CEO of Grupo GPS which controls Alsacia; and Yorma P\u00e1ez, assistant to the board at ADICO.<\/p>\n
