El objetivo del proyecto era conmemorar el Bicentenario de Chile el a\u00f1o pasado y contribuir a la meta de mejorar el dominio del ingl\u00e9s de los chilenos. Chile es un pa\u00eds altamente globalizado, pero seg\u00fan se estima solo un 3% de la poblaci\u00f3n habla ingl\u00e9s de manera fluida.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/p>\n<p><!--:--><!--:en--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Education Minister Joaqu\u00edn Lav\u00edn met with former AmCham president Ricardo Garc\u00eda and U.S. Ambassador Alejandro Wolff in December to offer his support for the Bicentennial Library organized by AmCham and the Chilean-North American Cultural Institute.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Library project, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy, has donated 100 books selected from English-language literature to 100 libraries throughout Chile. The aim of the project was to mark Chile\u2019s Bicentennial last year and help towards the goal of improving Chileans\u2019 English abilities.
