La planta, que recicla desechos electr\u00f3nicos e industriales, es la primera de su tipo en Am\u00e9rica Latina.<\/P><br \/>\n<P style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">Acompa\u00f1ado del ministro de Econom\u00eda, Juan Andr\u00e9s Fontaine; la ministra de Medio Ambiente, Mar\u00eda Ignacia Ben\u00edtez; y el fundador y gerente general de Recycla Chile, Fernando Nilo, el presidente Pi\u00f1era destac\u00f3 que Chile recicla s\u00f3lo una fracci\u00f3n de sus residuos, pero que la industria del reciclaje tiene potencial para crecer.<\/P><br \/>\n<P style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">\u201cHoy en Chile se recicla entre el 1% y el 3% de los desechos electr\u00f3nicos y, por tanto, tenemos un tremendo camino por delante\u201d, sostuvo el presidente Pi\u00f1era, quien recibi\u00f3 el premio E-Waste 2010-Bicentenario, distinci\u00f3n que anualmente entrega RECYCLA Chile, por promover la legislaci\u00f3n ambiental<\/P><!--:--><!--:en--><P style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">On August 9, President Sebasti\u00e1n Pi\u00f1era inaugurated local firm Recycla Chile\u2019s new state-of-the-art recycling plant in the Santiago community of Pudahuel.
