El seminario -el primero de una serie de estos eventos- forma parte del Programa de Difusi\u00f3n y Transferencia Tecnol\u00f3gica para la Industria de Alimentos de AmCham, financiado a trav\u00e9s del programa Innova de Corfo, y apunta a ayudar a las peque\u00f1as y medianas empresas chilenas a ingresar al mercado estadounidense.<\/P><br \/>\n<P style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">El principal orador, el ministro de Agricultura Jos\u00e9 Antonio Galilea, reiter\u00f3 el compromiso del nuevo Gobierno para ayudar al sector a aumentar las exportaciones y convertir a Chile en una potencia alimentaria global.<\/P><br \/>\n<P style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">Allen Johnson, de la consultora estadounidense Allen F. Johnson and Associates, destac\u00f3 las importantes tendencias de salud en el mercado estadounidense, pero apunt\u00f3 a que los exportadores chilenos tendr\u00e1n que cumplir rigurosos est\u00e1ndares de seguridad de los alimentos y reducir su huella de carbono para se competitivos.<\/P><br \/>\n<P style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">Entre los dem\u00e1s presentadores figuraron Ricardo Arizt\u00eda, director del Instituto de Desarrollo Agropecuario de Chile (INDAP); Juan Pablo Matte, secretario general del Sociedad Nacional de Agricultura (SNA); y Pilar Yrarr\u00e1zabal, jefa del Deparamento Agropecuario de ProChile.<BR>&nbsp;<\/P><!--:--><!--:en--><P style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">The U.S. food market was the focus of a seminar hosted by AmCham at Santiago\u2019s Sheraton Hotel on July 1. The seminar, the first in a series, is part of AmCham\u2019s export empowerment program, financed through Corfo\u2019s Innova program, which is aimed at helping small and medium-size Chilean food producers enter the U.S. market.<\/P><br \/>\n<P style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">Keynote speaker, Agriculture Minister Jos\u00e9 Antonio Galilea, reaffirmed the new government\u2019s commitment to helping the food sector increase exports and turn Chile into a global food power.<\/P><br \/>\n<P style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">Allen Johnson, of U.S. consulting firm Allen F.
