Las primeras empresas en unirse a esta iniciativa en Chile son Barrick, BCI, British American Tobacco, Colb\u00fan, Deloitte, Deuman, Energ\u00eda Austral, Essbio, Hewlett Packard, Indura, Masisa, Metro, Minera Los Pelambres, Recotoner, Recupac, Strategies, Tirsa, Tresmontes Lucchetti, Vi\u00f1a Concha y Toro, y VTR.<\/P><br \/>\n<P style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">En una reciente reuni\u00f3n, \u00c1lvaro Sapag -director ejecutivo de la Conama, el regulador ambiental chileno- destac\u00f3 que el calentamiento global es un asunto que va mucho m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de lo ambiental y que involucra temas de salud, migraci\u00f3n, transporte, energ\u00eda, industria, impuestos y aranceles, entre otros.<\/P><!--:--><!--:en--><P style=\"TEXT-ALIGN: justify\">Twenty Chilean firms have agreed to measure, reduce and offset their carbon footprint as part of the international Mayday Network founded by the UK\u2019s Prince Charles in 2007.
