U.S. Secretary of Commerce Carlos Gutierrez attended the event as keynote speaker at the Business Future of the Americas Conference and held a private meeting with AACCLA leaders and AmCham presidents from around the region. The meeting proved an excellent opportunity to advance AACCLA\u2019s agenda on trade &#8211; where agreements are in process between the U.S. and Peru, Colombia and Panama &#8211; and on trade facilitation, intellectual property and energy security in the region.  <\/p>\n<p>AACCLA also submitted the first of several reports outlining the contribution of U.S. business to the region, a project being completed in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Commerce.
