{"id":31303,"date":"2022-06-13T11:07:54","date_gmt":"2022-06-13T15:07:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/amchamchile.cl\/?post_type=news&#038;p=31303"},"modified":"2022-06-17T11:11:08","modified_gmt":"2022-06-17T15:11:08","slug":"scotiabank-abre-convocatoria-para-fondo-net-zero-research","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/amchamchile.cl\/en\/noticia\/scotiabank-abre-convocatoria-para-fondo-net-zero-research\/","title":{"rendered":"Scotiabank abre convocatoria para fondo Net Zero Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<h5>En 2022, los proyectos seleccionados recibir\u00e1n entre US$ 20 mil y US$ 80 mil.<\/h5>\n<p>En el marco de su compromiso para impulsar acciones que contribuyan a enfrentar los efectos del cambio clim\u00e1tico y promuevan un crecimiento econ\u00f3mico sostenible, Scotiabank abri\u00f3 por segundo a\u00f1o consecutivo las postulaciones a su <strong>Net Zero Research Fund,<\/strong> fondo global que entrega financiamiento a proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n para transitar hacia una econom\u00eda baja en emisiones de carbono.<\/p>\n<p>La iniciativa, cuya convocatoria estar\u00e1 abierta hasta el 14 de julio, permite la postulaci\u00f3n de centros de estudio e instituciones acad\u00e9micas que est\u00e9n investigando, apoyando y liderando sectores clave en sus esfuerzos hacia la descarbonizaci\u00f3n de la econom\u00eda y que se alinean con los <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scotiabank.com\/corporate\/es\/principal\/responsabilidad-e-impacto\/compromisos-climaticos.html\">Compromisos Clim\u00e1ticos<\/a> del Banco, que contemplan, entre otras cosas, la movilizaci\u00f3n de US$ 272 mil millones al 2030 en financiamiento vinculado a la reducci\u00f3n del impacto del cambio clim\u00e1tico, as\u00ed como descarbonizar nuestras operaciones, mejorar la integraci\u00f3n de las evaluaciones del riesgo clim\u00e1tico en nuestras actividades de pr\u00e9stamo, financiamiento e inversi\u00f3n; y establecer un Centro de Excelencia del Cambio Clim\u00e1tico.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEl Net Zero Research Fund refleja nuestro compromiso de ser un promotor de largo plazo de la reducci\u00f3n de la huella de carbono en la econom\u00eda y de encontrar soluciones innovadoras para aminorar el impacto del cambio clim\u00e1tico en el mundo. En Scotiabank estamos convencidos que al impulsar este tipo de iniciativas de investigaci\u00f3n podemos avanzar hacia un mejor futuro\u201d, afirm\u00f3 Katia Berdichewsky, directora de Asuntos Corporativos de Scotiabank Chile.<\/p>\n<p>El Net Zero Research Fund es un fondo de cerca de US$ 8 millones, que se entregar\u00e1n en un periodo de 10 a\u00f1os.
