La iniciativa tiene como objetivo acelerar su desarrollo.<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n

WeWork<\/strong>, el proveedor global de espacios de trabajo flexibles y empresa socia de AmCham<\/strong> Chile, junto a SoftBank Group International, anunciaron hoy el lanzamiento de la iniciativa \u201cMujeres Para El Ma\u00f1ana\u201d,<\/strong> un programa con el objetivo de apoyar el crecimiento de startups lideradas o fundadas por mujeres en Latinoam\u00e9rica.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Como parte de la iniciativa, WeWork destinar\u00e1 USD 5M en espacios de trabajo flexible,<\/strong> que cuentan con certificaci\u00f3n de Bioseguridad Bureau Veritas, para que las startups tengan un lugar equipado para trabajar por un a\u00f1o sin costo. Adem\u00e1s, SoftBank y Genias, dictar\u00e1n mentor\u00edas exclusivas a las participantes, proporcion\u00e1ndoles apoyo y orientaci\u00f3n para impulsar y acelerar el crecimiento de su negocio.<\/span><\/p>\n

La iniciativa naci\u00f3 en respuesta al impacto desproporcionado que COVID-19 ha tenido principalmente en las mujeres trabajadoras de la regi\u00f3n. En Am\u00e9rica Latina, la tasa de participaci\u00f3n laboral de las mujeres se situ\u00f3 en 2020 en 46%, mientras que la de los hombres en del 69%<\/strong> (en 2019 alcanzaron el 52% y el 73,6%, respectivamente), lo que supone un retroceso de m\u00e1s de una d\u00e9cada en el avance de la equidad y la participaci\u00f3n laboral de las mujeres en la regi\u00f3n, seg\u00fan datos de la CEPAL<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

En cuanto a Chile, seg\u00fan datos de la \u201cEncuesta Social Covid-19\u201d, elaborada por el Ministerio de Desarrollo Social y Familia<\/strong> (MDSF), junto al Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo<\/strong> (PNUD) e Instituto Nacional de Estad\u00edsticas<\/strong> (INE), si bien la crisis ha afectado de manera transversal a distintos grupos de hogares, son aquellos liderados por mujeres -de los quintiles m\u00e1s vulnerables y con presencia de ni\u00f1os, ni\u00f1as y adolescentes-, los que enfrentan una situaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s compleja en esta emergencia.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0As\u00ed mismo, poco antes de la pandemia, se proyectaba que si las mujeres y los hombres participaran por igual en el ecosistema empresarial, el PIB global podr\u00eda aumentar hasta en un 6%, impulsando la econom\u00eda mundial hasta en 5 billones de d\u00f3lares.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEl programa est\u00e1 enfocado en startups, pues buscamos aumentar la participaci\u00f3n de mujeres en el sector tecnol\u00f3gico, seg\u00fan PricewaterhouseCoopers, solo el 5% de las posiciones de liderazgo en la industria tecnol\u00f3gica son ocupadas por mujeres\u201d, comparti\u00f3 Fernanda Coelho,<\/strong> Manager de WeWork en Chile.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNos sentimos honrados de lanzar el programa Mujeres Para El Ma\u00f1ana junto con WeWork para ayudar a apoyar a las mujeres latinoamericanas en la fuerza laboral tras la pandemia\u201c, dijo Marcelo Claure, CEO de SoftBank Group International y Presidente Ejecutivo de WeWork. \u201cAl dirigirse tanto a la regi\u00f3n de LatAm como a las mujeres de color subrepresentadas, esta iniciativa combina muchos de los objetivos que SoftBank se esfuerza por lograr, particularmente a trav\u00e9s de nuestro SoftBank Latin America Fund y el SB Opportunity Fund. Como inmigrante de Bolivia, as\u00ed como padre de cinco hijas, espero tener un impacto positivo en las mujeres de la regi\u00f3n y ayudar a ver a trav\u00e9s de un cambio significativo y sostenible tanto en LatAm como en todo el mundo en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

El programa seleccionar\u00e1 60 startups lideradas o fundadas por mujeres en la regi\u00f3n. En Chile se seleccionar\u00e1n 10 startups.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cComo Genias nos sumamos a esta iniciativa, ya que se alinea completamente con nuestro prop\u00f3sito de acompa\u00f1ar, educar y empoderar a la mujer en el trabajo.
