El acuerdo tiene foco en desechos org\u00e1nicos domiciliarios de Procter & Gamble Chile.<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Seg\u00fan cifras del Ministerio de Medio Ambiente<\/strong>, en el pa\u00eds cada a\u00f1o se generan 4.7 millones de toneladas de residuos org\u00e1nicos que, casi en su totalidad, terminan en la basura. Como una forma de ayudar a contribuir con el cuidado del planeta y en l\u00ednea con sus objetivos medioambientales \u201cAmbition 2030\u201d, Procter & Gamble Chile (P&G Chile)<\/strong>, empresa socia de AmCham<\/strong>, firm\u00f3 una alianza con la empresa recicladora de desechos org\u00e1nicos, Kar\u00fcbag<\/strong>, para que los empleados de la compa\u00f1\u00eda que lo deseen puedan compostar sus desechos org\u00e1nicos domiciliarios y as\u00ed, evitar que estos residuos terminen en un relleno sanitario.<\/span><\/p>\n

Los colaboradores que se suscriban al programa podr\u00e1n almacenar sus desechos org\u00e1nicos de cocina en un canastillo con bolsas compostables, las que ser\u00e1n luego retiradas semanalmente por la empresa de reciclaje, evitando as\u00ed que estos desechos terminen en un vertedero.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stefano Bruzzone<\/strong>, Gerente Comercial de Kar\u00fcbag, asegur\u00f3 que \u201cnos alegra mucho que una multinacional como P&G se fije objetivos de sostenibilidad ambiental, que no s\u00f3lo se concentran en sus operaciones como compa\u00f1\u00eda, sino que tambi\u00e9n buscan cambiar los h\u00e1bitos de sus colaboradores en sus hogares. Felices de acompa\u00f1arlos en su camino hacia una vida m\u00e1s sustentable\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Esta nueva alianza, se enmarca dentro del plan \u201cAmbici\u00f3n 2030\u201d de P&G, lineamiento que fija las metas de sostenibilidad de la compa\u00f1\u00eda para la pr\u00f3xima d\u00e9cada y ayuda a dirigir acciones en el corto, mediano y largo plazo en 4 \u00e1reas espec\u00edficas de trabajo:<\/strong> marcas, cadena de suministro, sociedad y empleados.<\/span><\/p>\n

A fines de 2020, la compa\u00f1\u00eda anunci\u00f3 avances en las 16 metas definidas, entre las que destaca, la obtenci\u00f3n de la certificaci\u00f3n ZMWTL<\/strong> (Zero Manufacturing Waste To Landfill, porsus siglas en ingl\u00e9s) para la totalidad de las plantas que posee en Chile, Latinoam\u00e9rica y el resto del mundo. La obtenci\u00f3n del sello ZMWTL<\/strong> significa que el 100% de las plantas operativas env\u00edan cero residuos de manufactura a rellenos sanitarios.<\/span><\/p>\n

Enrique Garc\u00eda, gerente general de P&G Chile<\/strong> asegura que \u201cestamos muy orgullosos de haber establecido una colaboraci\u00f3n con Kar\u00fcbag, alianza que permitir\u00e1 ayudar a nuestros empleados en la reutilizaci\u00f3n y reducci\u00f3n de sus desechos org\u00e1nicos domiciliarios.
