Las faenas -que culminaron la semana pasada- cumplieron con la meta presupuestada para el a\u00f1o en curso, conectando nada menos que 42 comunas de norte a sur, muchas de \u00e9stas consideradas cr\u00edticas por su bajo o nulo nivel de conectividad (Bar\u00f3metro de Brecha Digital Comunal, Subtel).\r\n\r\nLas nuevas conexiones forman parte de un proceso que se inici\u00f3 a mediados del a\u00f1o 2020, cuando VTR migr\u00f3 todas sus nuevas construcciones a fibra \u00f3ptica.\r\n\r\nPara el CEO de VTR, <strong>Vivek Khemka<\/strong>, ampliar la red de infraestructura \u201cconstituye un aporte concreto a nivelar el acceso a internet a nivel pa\u00eds y seguir incluyendo a m\u00e1s personas, pymes y empresas en la sociedad digital\u201d.\r\n\r\nDurante el per\u00edodo 2020-2021 VTR sum\u00f3 518 mil nuevas conexiones en todo Chile. Comunas como Vallenar, Angol, Tom\u00e9, Paine y Buin, por citar algunas de las m\u00e1s vulnerables en materia de conectividad a partir de ahora podr\u00e1n acceder a servicios de internet de alta velocidad y televisi\u00f3n con aplicaciones y funcionalidades de \u00faltima generaci\u00f3n.\r\n\r\nKhemka destac\u00f3 el despliegue tecnol\u00f3gico y humano que hace posible lograr estos objetivos. \u201cEn algunas comunas se requiri\u00f3 hasta 20 cuadrillas de entre 30 y 100 personas cada una para desplegar las redes de fibra \u00f3ptica que, dada su complejidad t\u00e9cnica, utilizaron tecnolog\u00eda de punta para el tendido de los cables y el fusionado de los casi 200 filamentos que deben ser fusionados uno a uno en cada red\u201d."}]},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.1 -
