{"id":10467,"date":"2018-05-08T13:28:29","date_gmt":"2018-05-08T16:28:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.amchamchile.cl\/?p=155784"},"modified":"2018-05-08T13:28:29","modified_gmt":"2018-05-08T16:28:29","slug":"fundacion-ups-otorga-us16-millones-para-ayuda-humanitaria","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/amchamchile.cl\/en\/noticia\/fundacion-ups-otorga-us16-millones-para-ayuda-humanitaria\/","title":{"rendered":"[:es]Fundaci\u00f3n UPS otorga US$16 millones para ayuda humanitaria[:en]Fundaci\u00f3n UPUNDACI\u00d3N UPS OTORGA US $16 MILLONES PARA AYUDA HUMANITARIA[:]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[:es]<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-155785 \" src=\"https:\/\/amchamchile.cl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/UPS-Florida-Footage.03_04_36_16.Still123-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"521\" height=\"293\" \/><\/p>\n<p>La Fundaci\u00f3n UPS anunci\u00f3 la pr\u00f3xima entrega de 2018 donaciones por un total de m\u00e1s de US $16 millones, a organizaciones no gubernamentales sin fines de lucro, y agencias de la ONU especializadas en ayuda humanitaria, resiliencia comunitaria y programas de seguridad en todo el mundo. \u00a0Las acciones brindar\u00e1n apoyo para la respuesta, preparaci\u00f3n, recuperaci\u00f3n en casos de desastre y mejora de las cadenas de suministro de atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica p\u00fablica y seguridad vial en el mundo.<\/p>\n<p>Entre los programas, la Fundaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 expandiendo su trabajo con Gavi, la Alianza Mundial para Vacunas e inmunizaci\u00f3n y Zipline,\u00a0(una compa\u00f1\u00eda de rob\u00f3tica con base en California, EE.UU), para el aprovechamiento de drones en la entrega de sangre, medicamentos y vacunas en comunidades remotas, como las existentes en Ruanda.<\/p>\n<p>La colaboraci\u00f3n global \u2013que realiz\u00f3 las primeras entregas con drones en el 2016-, ha resultado en m\u00e1s de 4.000 despachos, que permitieron \u00a0distribuir con gran rapidez, m\u00e1s de 7.000 unidades de sangre en hospitales remotos en ese pa\u00eds africano, lo que confirma el \u00e9xito de este sistema.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEn s\u00f3lo minutos en vez de horas, esta colaboraci\u00f3n salva las vidas de millones de hombres, mujeres y ni\u00f1os\u201d, coment\u00f3 Eduardo Mart\u00ednez, presidente de la Fundaci\u00f3n UPS y director de diversidad e inclusi\u00f3n de UPS. \u201cEl alcance del programa de drones se duplicar\u00e1 de seis a doce millones de personas en todo Ruanda.
